When World War II started, the Strasbourg, alongside Dunkerque was assigned to the “Force de raid” that was meant to protected Allied merchant shipping. Her inter-war career was fairly quiet, being assigned to the Atlantic fleet. The Strasbourg was launched in December 1936 and commissioned on 15th September 1938. These ships were designed to counter the Deutschland-class of Panzerschiffe from the Kriegsmarine. The Strasbourg was the second unit of the Dunkerque-class of “Navires de ligne” (fast battleships) of the French Navy. Is she worth the grind? What does she bring over Dunkerque? Here is my opinion on the subject. The ship will also most likely be available in the Premium Shop but don’t quote me on that. The below ships are all available in World of Warships Blitz now.With the release of Update 0.9.12, we will be able to access a new campaign with the final reward being the tier VII French battleship Strasbourg. To coincide with their weaker armor, they do have very accurate guns. Fast and agile, this is uncommon for this particular class of ship, but they can move even faster, using the Engine Accelerator skill.
The downside is that these guns have a weaker caliber. The high-tier battleships will also boast strong AA armaments, and their turrets now have four guns. They ultimately wind up incredibly fast, and from Tier VII and up, they show off something special. But the greater you progress into the tech tree, you see where the French battleships begin to shine. At lower tiers, these battleships are much like the other nations battleships – they hit hard and have sturdy armor. The premiere French battleship is without a doubt the Turenne, which is a Tier III and is researchable from Friant, the Tier III cruiser. The latest update for World of Warships Blitz is here, and with it comes eight new French battleships that are ready to do battle.
